Shooting threat against Boonville middle school

Boonville police said late Wednesday they are investigating a threat made by a student to shoot up Laura Speed Elliott Middle School.

That student is in custody. Authorities are not releasing the child’s name.

It’s not clear yet if investigators believe the student was going to act on the threat, but BPD said they take all threats against a school seriously.
