A kitchen fire forces people out of several Jefferson City apartments.
It started at about 5 p.m. Monday on Southridge Drive near Highway 179 and Route C.
Smoke came out of a basement-level apartment. Smoke had to be removed from three other apartments in the building too.
The Red Cross is helping the people that have to stay somewhere else right now.
