Snow projection totals have increased for Columbia and Jefferson City

Snow is heading for most of mid-Missouri Thursday into Friday morning, including Columbia and Jefferson City.

National Weather Service (NWS) St. Louis meteorologist Melissa Byrd expects snow to begin falling in the listening area by midday tomorrow. Byrd tells 939 the Eagle that the system will begin as rain and snow, then change to all snow by tomorrow evening.

Columbia is now projected to receive two to five inches of snow by Friday, with one to four inches expected in Jefferson City.
