A few local drivers spent some time in ditches Tuesday morning.
Much more snow than expected came down overnight, leading to several mid-Missouri accidents starting in the 4 a.m. hour. Authorities helped people who crashed on Interstate 70 near mile marker 116, Highway 63 in the Ashland area, and Highway 50 in Jefferson City near Highway 179.
No word of serious injuries with any of the accidents.
