The destruction of last week’s tornado in Jefferson City is having ripple effects across the state.
Brian Neuner with Special Olympics Missouri says damage at the Training for Life facility off Christy Drive has forced the organization to make a tough decision.
“The executives have made a decision that we’re going to have to cancel the summer games. Nobody wants to do that, but we have to regroup.”
Special Olympics was set to have that competition in Springfield this coming weekend.
