Special Olympics State Outdoor Games Begin Friday

Friday marks day one of the Special Olympics Missouri 2019 State Outdoor Games in Jefferson City.

More than 1,100 athletes are competing in different events throughout the capital.

Our sister station 104.5 News Radio 950 KWOS will have live play-by-play of Special Olympics softball on Saturday morning. Here’s a detailed schedule of events:

Friday, Sept. 27  

8 a.m.-3 p.m. Bocce Competition, Blair Oaks H.S. (1909 State Hwy. B, Wardsville)

8 a.m.-3 p.m. Tennis Competition, Lincoln University Tennis Complex (631 Lafayette St.)

8 a.m.-3 p.m. Golf Competition, Oak Hills Golf Course (932 Ellis Blvd.)

7 p.m. Opening Ceremony, Binder Softball Complex (280 Binder Lake Rd.)

8:15-9:30 p.m. Softball Competition (one game), Binder Softball Complex (280 Binder Lake Rd.)

 

Saturday, Sept. 28  

8-9 a.m. Softball Skills, Competition Binder Softball Complex (280 Binder Lake Rd.)

8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Softball Competition, Binder Softball Complex (280 Binder Lake Rd.)

10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Disc Golf Demo, Binder Softball Complex (280 Binder Lake Rd.)
