State Rep talks potential Jeff City river port

Have you been caught in the I-70 traffic lately?

Jefferson City Rep. Rudy Veit says a river port in the Capital City could take a lot of those big rigs off the highways.

“There are no designs on the table to build another I-70, or anything like that.”

The port is proposed for the Algoa area east of Jefferson City.

Veit says will help manufacturers cut transportation costs if it’s built.
