Missouri reports another 32 deaths from COVID-19 Friday. That brings the state’s total to 449.
A total of 9,489 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Missouri, with another 148 cases reported Friday afternoon.
Boone County confirmed a new positive case Friday, for a total of 98 cases. Cole County has added two this week. Callaway and Moniteau counties have not reported a new case since Thursday. Almost all patients in each of those counties are recovering.
Saline County added two positives Thursday. The local hotspot has a total of 213 cases, with 140 recovered.
Christine Smith, a vice president with Pfizer, spoke at Governor Parson’s briefing Thursday. Pfizer’s Chesterfield plant is helping in a global effort to develop and test a potential vaccine.
