Missouri turns 200 years old Tuesday.
A formal ceremony will kick off a full slate of Statehood Day events in Jefferson City at 9 a.m. Gov. Mike Parson and Sen. Roy Blunt are among those scheduled to speak at the ceremony.
That will be followed by a U-S naturalization ceremony, an ice cream social and other historical exhibits. The state’s bicentennial stamp will also be unveiled.
