Statewide stay-at-home order ends Monday

The first step in reopening the state economy starts Monday.

The statewide stay-at-home orders end May 4, so most businesses can reopen with restrictions.

Moniteau County is one of the local governments still issuing a stay-at-home order until May 10.

Boone County’s stay-at-home order is done May 4, but there are more restrictions than what the state has in place. There are more occupancy limits in shops, and Boone County bars and movie theaters are among the venues that have to stay closed.

The Columbia City Council talks more about the restrictions during Monday night’s meeting.
