Super fan Tiger John Cleek passes away, after battle with ALS

Former Mizzou football coach Gary Pinkel says no one loved Mizzou more than Tiger John Cleek.

The longtime Columbia businessman lost his battle with ALS on Wednesday. Our news partner ABC-17 News reports Mr. Cleek died Wednesday at University Hospital in Columbia.

Mizzou honored Mr. Cleek during halftime of a November football game, for his longtime support of the Tigers. Thousands of fans cheered for him, at the game. A message was played on the video board at Faurot Field.

Tiger John only missed three football games, dating back to 1958. Coach Pinkel describes him as a wonderful man, father and grandfather.
