Suspects arrested after shots allegedly fired at Columbia police

Columbia police have now arrested all three suspects that are accused of shooting at officers downtown.

Two juveniles, and 18-year-old Anthony Stapleton of Columbia, are now in custody. Police had been looking for the second juvenile Thursday afternoon.

Officers chased a possibly stolen car a little after midnight Thursday, starting near Melbourne and Hodge streets. The car crashed near Ash and Orr, on the sidewalk in front of the Columbia Fire Administration Building.

Shots were then allegedly fired at police as the suspects ran off. No one was hurt, but a patrol vehicle was damaged.
