Suspects shoot at victim in southwest Columbia

Police investigate shots fired in southwest Columbia.

CPD says a resident saw people going through his car at about 5 a.m. Wednesday near Bethel Street and Nikki Way. He confronted them, and the suspects hopped into a gray or silver SUV and drove off, firing shots at him as they did.

No one was hurt, but that car was damaged. No arrests have been reported yet. The victim described the first suspect as a white male, approximately 5’9″, with a thin build. He was wearing blue jeans, a red shirt, white shoes and a red face mask. The second suspect was described as a white male wearing blue jeans, a red/white striped shirt and white shoes. There’s no info on the other two suspects.
