Suspicious man arrested for trespassing at Columbia School

Kelvin Joe is under arrest this time after his car was spotted Tuesday morning at West Middle School in Columbia.

He had been cited for trespassing last week at Gentry Middle School and was told to stay away from any Columbia Public Schools.

Police at the time said Joe had been acting strangely towards both children and adults and didn’t initially look into additional charges.

But after violating his trespass warning from the first incident, the 52-year-old was arrested on first degree trespassing charges after admitting to police it was his car seen at the school.  It happened before students arrived for the school day. Detectives say Joe admitted to going to several school buildings, because he wanted to bless them.
