UPDATE: Additional Red Cross volunteer leaves Jefferson City for Texas as Beryl approaches

The Weather Channel is reporting that Beryl has made landfall in Texas at a category one hurricane, bringing damaging winds, heavy rain and tornado threats. Texas’ lieutenant governor is warning residents to not underestimate it.
