Boone County reported three more COVID-19 deaths Monday.
Health officials said one patient between 60 and 64 years old died Jan. 12, one patient between 25 and 29 years old died July 30, and the other patient between 40 and 44 years old died Aug. 1. Boone is now at 126 total deaths from the illness.
There were 178 new coronavirus cases in the county over the last three days. Active cases went up, to 779. Hospitalizations rose, to 119. Hospitals in Boone are still operating at “yellow” status, meaning resources are strained and some surgeries are being delayed.
Cole County reported 108 new cases from the last three days.
