Tractor trailer crashes on I-70 in Columbia; traffic backed up for several miles at one point

UPDATE: Boone County Joint Communications tells 939 the Eagle that all lanes of westbound I-70 near Columbia’s Stadium Boulevard have now re-0pened.

Boone County Joint Communications says a tractor trailer has crashed in the snow on westbound I-70 near Stadium Boulevard. The incident happened near mile marker 124.

While all westbound lanes were closed for a time, Joint Communications tells 939 the Eagle that one lane has re-opened.

Listeners say traffic has been backed up for several miles. Avoid the area if possible.
