Westbound I-70 traffic at mid-Missouri’s Rocheport bridge is now flowing freely, after one lane was closed for three hours this morning to give crews time to install river navigation lights.

The state Department of Transportation (MoDOT) closed one westbound lane of I-70 over the Missouri River from 6 to 9 this morning. MoDOT says construction of the new $240-million I-70 Rocheport bridge is continuing, and that the new bridge is scheduled to open to traffic in December 2024.
