A Columbia man’s trial was scheduled to start Monday on arson charges.
Mehrdad Fotoohighiam, 64, is allegedly responsible for a fire at a home on Rock Quarry Road in December 2014. A woman inside at the time was badly hurt.
The arson charge is split from the other charges still pending against Fotoohighiam for murder conspiracy and attempted murder. He may go to trial on those counts later.
