The trial starts Wednesday for a Columbia man accused of killing his six-month-old daughter.
Cortavia Smith, 21, is charged with second degree murder.
Court documents say Smith told police he accidentally kicked his baby girl at a home on Switzler Street in March, then took her to a gas station. She went into cardiac arrest and died.
