Trials in death of mother, daughter delayed after mistrial

(AP) The trial of a man accused of killing a central Missouri woman and her daughter in 2016 has been delayed after a mistrial was declared during jury selection.

The trial of 59-year-old Steven Endsley was scheduled to begin Monday. A 94-member jury pool was sworn in and jury selection was beginning when a mistrial was declared.

Endsley, of Camdenton, is accused of killing Danielle Smith and her mother, Teresa Jackson, in Camden County in September 2016. Prosecutors said Endsley had an ongoing dispute with Smith over her sexual orientation. KYTV reports it was the ninth time the trial has been delayed.
