Trump rails against delay in moving impeachment to Senate

(AP) President Donald Trump railed behind closed doors Thursday about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to delay sending articles of impeachment to the Republican Senate.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, a staunch Trump GOP ally, said after a White House meeting with Trump that, “He is demanding his day in court.” Graham said on Fox News that Trump is “mad as hell that they would do this to him and now deny him his day in court.”

Pelosi announced Wednesday that she would delay sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate until Republican leaders offer more details about how they will handle an expected trial.
