Two arrests connected to MU Alert near campus

Columbia police make two arrests connected to that MU Alert this week.

Campus authorities sent out a warning about possible gun shots and an assault Monday night near Fifth and Turner close to the U Centre apartment building.

Bruce Blumenthal, 21, is accused of robbery, delivery of a controlled substance, and tampering with evidence. Lauren Pepper, 22, is accused of delivery of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and tampering with evidence.

Police did not wind up finding evidence of gun shots.
