Two charged with murder in Cole County baby’s death

Two people now face murder charges, after authorities say they found a significant amount of meth in a dead Cole County baby.

The two-month-old was found dead last September on Pitchfork Alley west of Jefferson City near Elston.

Jason Williams and Kayla Brewer were both arrested at first on drug, stealing, and child endangerment charges. A grand jury on Wednesday indicted them for second degree murder and more. Williams is now facing 11 felonies, and Brewer is facing seven felonies.
