Two fires damage Callaway County buildings

Two big fires did damage in Callaway County early Thursday morning.

Officials say one destroyed the Russ Automotive building in Millersburg at about 3:45 a.m. The other has apparently led to the total loss of the new Callaway County Ambulance District headquarters in Fulton (pictured).

Fulton Fire Chief Kevin Coffelt said the fire was accidental and caused about $474,000 in damages.

ABC 17 News has confirmed with the Missouri Department of Public Safety that the fire at Russ Automotive was due to a lightening strike.

No word of any injuries with either fire.
