Investigators are trying to find out what is behind two Columbia house fires.
One happened at a duplex on 300 Clinkscales Road near Worley and Stadium at about 4 a.m. Wednesday. Crews got the fire under control in about ten minutes.
Another fire started at about midnight Wednesday on Fir Place near I-70 and Rangeline. Crews quickly put that fire out too. No one was inside when the fire happened.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries during both fires. The Fir Place fire caused $58,000 in damage. The Clinkscales fire caused $23,000. Investigators have not determined the cause of either fire, as of Thursday morning.
