Two under arrest in Tipton for bad checks, false 911 calls

Claims of a fraudulent check and false 911 calls lead to two people under arrest in Tipton.

Moniteau County authorities say Elizabeth Mills of Columbia used a bad check at a business in Tipton and was staying at an area motel.

While investigating the case Tuesday, Damon Turner of Rocheport allegedly made multiple false 911 calls alleging robberies in progress at various convenience stores in Tipton.

Police say they found Turner staying in the same motel room as Mills, where they also allegedly found drugs, meth, and stolen credit cards.
