Friday is Missouri Electric Cooperatives Day at the state fair in west-central Missouri’s Sedalia.

Thursday morning’s governor’s ham breakfast drew a packed house, including Governor Mike Kehoe, U.S. Sen. Eric Schmitt (R), House Ways and Means Committee chair Jason Smith (R-Salem) and others. Missouri state lawmakers in both parties attended the breakfast.

Missouri’s two U.S. Senators traveled to the state fair in Sedalia on Thursday. Senators Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt spoke to voters and also met with Missouri Farm Bureau leaders. Senator Hawley, Missouri Farm Bureau president Garrett Hawkins and U.S. Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Springfield) also took questions from farmers and ranchers in the Sedalia audience.
More than 1,000 people attended Thursday’s governor’s ham breakfast, which was catered by Marshall-based Jackson’s.
