UM Curators discussing vaccine mandate and transition assistance pay on Thursday

The UM Board of Curators are meeting this morning in St. Louis to discuss President Biden’s vaccine mandate and numerous other agenda items. The meeting began at 8 am.

Curators will consider a proposed resolution regarding the presidential mandate. If approved, it would require all University of Missouri employees to comply with vaccine and masking requirements, unless they have an exemption. Exemptions include sincerely held religious beliefs and medical reasons.

The Board will also present resolutions to former Curators Jon Sundvold of Columbia and David Steelman of Rolla.

The board will also discuss a proposed six percent room and board increase, which the university says is due to inflation. The board will also hear a report about layoff and transition assistance pay, and Mizzou’s new athletic director, Desiree Reed-Francois, will present an athletics report.
