The UM Board of Curators is expected to approve a naming opportunity Thursday afternoon for Mizzou football’s new indoor practice facility. The board meets at 1.

The Curators voted to give unanimous final approval to the $33 million facility in May. It’s being funded through private donations and will be located adjacent to the Tigers’ south end zone complex.
UM System President Dr. Mun Choi and other top Mizzou officials support naming the building the Stephens Indoor Facility, for Mizzou graduates Brad Stephens and his wife Rachel Cohen Stephens. They’ve made cash and in-kind contributions.
The 86,000 square foot facility will include a full-length football field with appropriate run off distances beyond the end zones and along the sidelines, for safety purposes.
Construction hasn’t started yet on the facility, which is expected to be done by December 2022.
