Columbia Police have identified the victim who was shot to death Thursday night on Premier Court in northeast Columbia as 18-year-old Derek Silvey of Columbia.
CPD investigators say Silvey was pronounced dead at the scene. CPD spokeswoman Jenny Hopper tells 939 the Eagle that no arrests have been made. The shooting happened in a residential area, east of Highway 63 near Brown Station road. Ms. Hopper encourages anyone with information on Silvey’s murder to call Columbia Crimestoppers at (573) 875-TIPS.
Reporter Mitch Kaminski from our news partner KMIZ saw a helicopter around Premier court searching for suspects. CPD praises the Missouri State Highway Patrol for its assistance during the investigation.
