Poplar Bluff’s newspaper, the “Daily American Republic”, says four to eight inches of additional rain are possible through tomorrow night. MO-TF1 has deployed with 11 convoy vehicles and boats for swift water rescues. The team has 100,000 pounds of gear. They also have drones.

The Black River has been flooding, and southeast Missouri could see tornadoes tonight. Poplar Bluff city manager Robert Knodell tells 939 the Eagle that Poplar Bluff and surrounding communities “are incredibly grateful for the inbound support from Task Force One. Recovering from one disaster while preparing for another is difficult, and the expertise, personnel and equipment they provide will be vital.”
