The service was fully restored at about 9:30 this morning. Boone County Joint Communications says a fiber cut near Jefferson City on Monday could have caused issues that also impacted other 911 centers. The phone outages experienced by Boone County Joint Communications impacted 911 phone lines.

Boone County Joint Communications director Christie Davis reassures everyone that their backup systems functioned as intended. 911 calls to Boone County were automatically rerouted to the Jefferson City Police Department, which is standard procedure when there are issues with 911 phone lines in Boone County. Joint Communications staff here dispatched staff to Jefferson City Monday evening to answer Boone County 911 calls and ensure that emergency services in Boone County received timely information.
