The Boone County Fire Protection District is praising its volunteer firefighters for working to contain 15 natural cover fires this weekend.
The district says the fires began Friday and continued into Sunday evening. The Boone County Fire Protection District says they’re proud to have such a passionate group of volunteer firefighters serving the community.
The district is also urging you to refrain from any burning until conditions improve, noting ground cover is extremely dry.
