A man from mid-Missouri’s Boone County who was already charged with four felonies is jailed without bond, after being charged with statutory rape.
49-year-old Durwin Heater is being held without bond at the Boone County jail. Heater has already been charged with two counts of child abuse/neglect and two counts of domestic assault, and prosecutors have added the new statutory rape charge. Court documents allege that Heater also created a fake Facebook account to communicate with one of the victims, even though he’s been banned from any contact.
Prosecutors describe Heater as a flight risk.
