Columbia-area shoppers will be able to shop this year at a Burlington store and at a new Trader Joe’s in the busy Shoppes at Stadium.
939 the Eagle’s Mike Murphy, who publishes Comobuz, reports New Jersey-based Burlington will open their new Columbia location on Friday July 25 at the Shoppes at Stadium. It will be near the Trader Joe’s being built in the former Macy’s.
Burlington’s website says the company started more than 50 years ago as Burlington Coat Factory. The website says Burlington has more than 1,000 stores today, selling low-priced brand name ladies, men’s, kids/baby apparel and more.
Despite numerous storms this spring, progress continues on the new multi-million dollarTrader Joe’s being built. Crews continue to work on both levels as they renovate the former Macy’s at the Shoppes at Stadium.
While there’s been a lot of excitement, some customers worry about parking and traffic when the new Trader Joe’s in Columbia opens this year.
