UPDATE: Charges filed against mid-Missouri man for alleged crossbow shooting

Charges have now been filed against that Fulton man accused of shooting his neighbor with a crossbow.

Callaway County prosecutors have charged 63-year-old Thurman Estep with first degree assault and armed criminal action.

Estep remains jailed without bond. His initial arraignment date hasn’t been set.

Fulton Police say Estep had a verbal altercation with a neighbor before Estep allegedly shot his crossbow, striking the victim in the abdomen. Detectives say the victim called 911, before being transported to University Hospital.

Estep’s initial arraignment date hasn’t been set.
