UPDATE: Charges filed for Thursday night’s shooting in northeast Columbia; two victims now in stable condition

Boone County prosecutors have filed six felony charges against a Columbia man for Thursday night’s incident where two people were shot.

23-year-old Ammanuel Minuye is charged with two counts of first degree assault and four other felonies. A court filing from Boone County prosecutors says Minuye “appears to have opened fire on a vehicle that was simply driving down the road.” Thursday night’s shooting happened at about 7:10 pm on Alan lane in northeast Columbia, north of Clark lane. CPD says the two shooting victims are now in stable condition.

CPD’s probable cause statement alleges that Minuye and others he was around shot at the vehicle on Alan drive. CPD’s investigation continues: anyone with information should contact Columbia Crimestoppers at (573) 875-TIPS.
