A Columbia man is jailed without bond this afternoon, after being charged with child pornography.
Boone County prosecutor Roger Johnson tells 939 the Eagle that he’s charged 53-year-old Stephan Jon Sheltmire with felony possession of child pornography, a class B felony. If convicted, the range of punishment would be between five and 15 years in prison.
Prosecutor Johnson’s office has filed a motion requesting the court to maintain the no bond. Sheltmire is expected to make his initial court appearance today.
