Mid-Missourians can expect slushy conditions on the road this afternoon, as light snow continues to fall in Columbia, Boonville and Jefferson City.

National Weather Service (NWS) St. Louis meteorologist Matt Beitscher tells 939 the Eagle that mid-Missouri will receive about a half-inch of snow by this evening. While the band of heavier snow will be to the east of our listening area, Mr. Beitscher says you may experience slippery conditions on the road, along with visibility issues.

Give yourself extra time, and keep your radio tuned to 939 the Eagle for updated forecast and weather information.
