An August trial date has been set for a man from Columbia charged with killing two women in 2024 and hiding their bodies in a closet.
Boone County Circuit Judge Joshua Calvin Devine last week scheduled a four-day jury trial for 52-year-old Randall Russell Fox, who is charged with two counts of second degree murder and three other felonies.
Court filings from Boone County assistant prosecutor Susan Boresi say 77-year-old Marcia Hess and 50-year-old Sara Fox were shot at least once. Prosecutor Boresi’s court filing says Randall Fox then wrapped the victims’ bodies in a tarp and hid them in a closet on Ridgemont drive.
Marcia Hess was Sara Fox’s mother.
