Columbia Police have captured a local man for April’s double shooting downtown and for a Thursday overnight shots fired incident on Clark lane, near the Links.
Boone County prosecutors have charged 23-year-old Joshua Abrams with four felonies for the May 1 shots fired incident near the Links. Online court records show charges have not been filed yet for the April 13 double shooting in the 900 block of East Broadway. Two men were shot at about 1:30 am on April 13 downtown, and police said the victims were hospitalized in stable condition at last check. CPD has said that two juvenile males were taken into custody for the double shooting as well.
Boone County prosecutors have charged Abrams with armed criminal action, driving while intoxicated and two other felonies for the shots fired incident on Thursday in the 4700 block of Clark lane, near the Links. Police say they found multiple bullet casings, but there were no injuries or property damage there. Abrams is jailed without bond.
