A convicted felon from Centralia is jailed without bond this morning, charged with fracturing his girlfriend’s jaw and knocking her unconscious.
Graphic court documents say multiple 911 callers saw the victim walking near Columbia’s Ash street on Sunday morning, noting she had blood on her shirt and appeared to be distressed.
Boone County prosecutors have charged 38-year-old Jesse Allen Jones of Centralia with felony domestic assault. The Columbia Police Department’s redacted two-page probable cause statement quotes police officers as saying the woman appeared to be terrified, when they spoke to her at a local hospital. Court documents say the victim cowered in the hospital bed and quote her as saying she believes Jesse Jones knows where she is currently staying and that he’s found her there before. The court documents also say that Jones has been arrested numerous times and that he’s also a trained mixed martial arts fighter.
