UPDATE: Columbia Police seeking numerous charges against suspect in Saturday’s five-hour standoff

The man arrested by Columbia Police following a five-hour standoff on Saturday morning on Summit road is jailed without bond this (Monday) morning.

Columbia Police say 29-year-old Octavious Bradshaw of St. Louis also had felony warrants. Summit road is east of Fairview, not far from the Hy-Vee on West Broadway. CPD says Saturday morning’s standoff began at about 4:30 am, when police responded to a domestic disturbance. CPD says the victim was assaulted and threatened with a weapon, and the victim identified Bradshaw as the suspect. Bradshaw was arrested without incident at about 9:30 am, following efforts by CPD crisis negotiators and SWAT officers.

Columbia Police are seeking numerous charges against Bradshaw, including armed criminal action, domestic assault and resisting arrest. Bradshaw also has warrants from St. Louis for stealing firearms and for burglary.
