A Columbia suspect captured Friday for the August shooting near Conley road is also charged in connection with a June double shooting at the Greens apartments on Clark lane.

CPD captured 19-year-old Chase Ricketts Friday at an apartment complex on Old Highway 63. Police are seeking first degree assault and other charges against Ricketts for the August 2 daytime shooting on Conley road that injured a 26-year-old man.

939 the Eagle News reported in late June that Ricketts is also charged with felony tampering with physical evidence for June’s double shooting at the Greens apartments on Clark lane.

The Columbia Police Department’s three-page probable cause statement in the Greens double shooting quotes Ricketts as telling police that he threw a gun used by a suspect into the bushes before police arrived.
