UPDATE: Columbia shooting victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening, police say

Columbia Police need your assistance in solving Monday morning’s shooting on Mayflower drive, which is near North Stadium in northwest Columbia.

CPD investigators say the male victim suffered a gunshot wound, which was not life-threatening. Columbia Police say they responded to a report of a disturbance at about 9:45 on Monday morning near Providence and Nebraska, near the bowling alley. When they arrived, they located the shooting victim and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. That briefly closed Providence near the Business Loop for a time.
