Columbia Police are seeking multiple charges against a local suspect after a three-and-a-half hour standoff on Hidden Creek court north of Clark lane. That’s in northeast Columbia, near Hanover Boulevard and Rice Road.
Columbia Police were there to arrest him on a past assault charge. CPD detectives say 34-year-old Christopher Dow allegedly made threats to harm law enforcement officers and threatened to explode the home. CPD’s SWAT team and their police crisis negotiation team were able to arrest Dow peacefully at about 5 pm.
Dow is currently jailed without bond and CPD is seeking multiple charges against him, including resisting arrest and making a terrorist threat.
