A Columbia suspect accused of threatening to harm himself, family members and his employees is being held without bond, after being charged with multiple felonies.
Boone County prosecutors have charged 43-year-old Brandon Shoupe with resisting arrest, armed criminal action and two other felonies. Shoupe is also accused of threatening two domestic victims with a gun.
The Columbia Police Department’s three-page probable cause statement says Columbia Police captured Shoupe after he allegedly tried to flee from them on a motorcycle near Highway 63 and Conley road.
Shoupe is not currently listed on the Boone County jail roster. Boone County prosecutors describe him as a flight risk, in court filings. Shoupe is currently on probation for peace disturbance. Court documents show that Boone County prosecutors are asking the court to revoke probation in that case.
What’s next: In addition to facing four felonies that were filed by Boone County prosecutors on Wednesday, prosecutors are also asking the court to revoke Shoupe’s probation for peace disturbance.
