The winter storm that dropped snow, ice and sleet across mid-Missouri has caused Columbia Utilities to cancel trash and recycling collections for Monday.
Authorities will decide later whether trash collection can happen on Tuesday. Columbia’s Go COMO fixed-route bus system began running at 10 am, and the buses are operating on a Saturday schedule. Paratransit service is suspended for today, and paratransit customers are reminded to call 911 in case of an emergency.
