Missouri transportation officials have opened the newly-built Highway 63 underpass from Columbia’s Conley road to all traffic.

The new access point is located near the entrances of Columbia’s IHOP and Panda Express and is designed to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion by providing an additional route to access the connector at I-70 and Highway 63.
Crews from the state Department of Transportation (MoDOT) began building the underpass in October 2024 by building two new bridges on Highway 63.

This project is all part of the $405-million plan to rebuild and expand I-70 from Columbia to Kingdom City.
